ISIUM membership

ISIUM was established to inspire, encourage and empower people worldwide to unite in creating a world characterised by the best use of medicines, giving medicines their rightful place in medical care for the good of humanity, and having respect for diversity and varied cultural and economic contexts.

To this end, ISIUM is actively encouraging the development of a community of like-minded people and organisations who have a passion for solving challenges in this complex field.

ISIUM held its first international conference In Bangkok in January 2020 which attracted 175 participants from more than 34 countries. It was a convincing expression of the widespread interest in promoting the rational use of medicines. And it was a rousing demonstration of the desire of everyone involved to have a forum where all aspects of medicine use can be raised, discussed and shared.

ISIUM is now in a position to take leadership in harnessing this excitement and interest. Membership of ISIUM is open to anyone who is interested in improving the use of medicines. If you are interested, do join ISIUM!

Why join ISIUM?

At this early stage of ISIUM’s development, members are not only able, but are encouraged, to shape the future of the reinvigorated rational use of medicines movement.

On joining ISIUM, you are asked to provide ISIUM with information about your area(s) of interest, your experience, expertise and skills (on the understanding that ISIUM will only share this information with other ISIUM members). This register of information is made available to all members and you will find it extremely useful as it will allow you to find out who your fellow members/colleagues are, who has similar interests, what work they do, where they work, and how to make contact.

ISIUM publishes a newsletter every 6 months which includes articles on interesting projects and initiatives being undertaken around the world, profiles of individual members and their work, as well as any other important activities, meetings/webinars and papers being planned. The intention of the newsletter is to encourage links and networks around the globe.
