ISIUM membership is open to anyone, from any walk of life, who is interested in improving the use of medicines.

Payments

Membership fees are due annually. Payments for membership can be made using either a credit card or PayPal – a worldwide payments system that supports online money transfers between most countries. To use PayPal you need to set up a personal PayPal account (free) and then choose a method of payment, such as your bank account or a credit or debit card.

If you have an Australian bank account you can pay by making a direct transfer to ISIUM’s bank account. If you wish to pay by this method please contact us at info@isium.org so we can provide you with the necessary information. Direct debit payments are not advisable if you do not have an Australian bank account because cross-border payments attract significant bank fees that you will need to cover.

Please make sure you make the correct payment according to the classification of the country from which you derive your salary/income. If you are unsure, download a list of World Bank country classifications.

• Person from middle-income country - $ 50.00
• Person from middle-income country, 3 years - $ 125.00
• Person from low-income country - $ 25.00
• Person from low-income country, 3 years - $ 60.00
• Student - $ 25.00
• Organisation with annual turnover of less than $1 million - $ 500.00
• Organisation with annual turnover of $1 to 10 million - $ 1,500.00
• Organisation with annual turnover of more than $10 million - $ 3,000.00

Please check your country's classification (see note under Payments above) before making a selection. The term of membership is 12 months from the date you first pay your membership fee or, if you select the 3-year option, 36 months from the date you pay your membership fee.

New members only

• Company guarantee payment (US$8.00)

In addition to the membership fee, each new member is required to pay a single one-off payment of US$8.00 for the company guarantee. (ISIUM is set up in Australia as a not-for-profit company ‘limited by guarantee’. ‘Limited by guarantee’ refers to the maximum liability of each member if the company is wound up while the member is a member, or within 12 months after they stop being a member. Each member’s guarantee is limited to eight dollars (US$8.00) and this is required to be paid in advance. This one-off payment will be refunded to you if you cease to become a member.)

The International Society to Improve the Use of Medicines (ISIUM) is endorsed as a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) by the Australian Taxation Office. All gifts of $2 or more made to ISIUM are tax deductible if you are an Australian taxpayer.
