Conference venue

The ISIUM conference will be held at the Kantary Hills Hotel and Serviced Apartments Chiang Mai Hotel, 44/1-4 Nimmanahaemin Road, Suthep, Mueang Chiang Mai District, Chiang Mai 50200 (telephone: +66-053-222111), see hotel location.

The hotel is about 5 Km from Chiang Mai International Airport and is located in Nimmanahaemin area, the area that is closest to Chiang Mai University, The area is called ‘Nimman’ for short. It is a trendy neighbourhood packed with various styles of residences, hotels, restaurants, coffee shops, bookstores, boutique stores, art galleries, with a vibe of college town.

ISIUM has negotiated special rates at the Kantary Hills Hotel for conference attendees. Please book early as the number of rooms at the special rate is limited! Local travel

To travel from Chiang Mai International Airport to the conference hotel, take an airport taxi. A taxi can hold up to 3-4 people and a trip to Chiang Mai city costs 250 baht.

To take a taxi, visit the taxi desk located at the exit of the terminals, and tell them your destination. Taxis are at Exit 1.

Chiang Mai red cabs: Red pick-up trucks/taxis (Chiang Mai red cabs) are the main mode of public transportation in Chiang Mai. These cabs can fit up to 10 people. There are no fixed routes for the red cabs and you share the ride with other passengers.

To take a red cab, you have to tell the driver your destination and, importantly, agree on a reasonable price. The price varies, starting at 30-50 baht per person, depending on where you want to go and your negotiability. If he says yes, hop in the back seat, he will take you to your destination. As it’s a shared taxi, the driver might stop in the middle of the road to pick up or drop off other passengers. The driver will inform you when he arrives at your destination.

Grab car: Grab car is a smartphone-based taxi. It is a convenient, affordable, and reliable taxi service, alternative to Uber. Just download the Grab app to your phone, open the app and select ‘Transport’ to use the service.

RCT Chiang Mai City bus: The RCT city bus, unfortunately, has not operated since the COVID-19 outbreak. However, the company has announced that it plans to resume the services. We will update you as soon as this option is available.
