ISIUM has been fortunate in acquiring support from Therapeutic Guidelines and the University of South Australia to support the attendance of a small number of delegates to the 2026 ISIUM Conference to be held in Kathmandu, Nepal from 19-21 November 2026.
What is the value of the ISIUM Conference sponsorship?
Sponsorship will cover the conference registration fee, and the costs of economy travel to and from the conference.
Who can apply?
ISIUM members who meet the following criteria are invited to apply for financial support to attend the Conference.
Applicants must:
- Demonstrate their capacity to make a real and valuable contribution to the Conference. This may include a presentation, poster or contribution to a Working Session.
- Live and work or study in a low- or lower middle-income country and be unable to obtain funds from other sources such as university, employer, government, sponsorship, or other grants.
- Submit an article suitable for publication in the ISIUM Newsletter or on the ISIUM website. The article should be approximately 750 words, with photos, based on a topic that is relevant to ISIUM, e.g. describing the current work or initiatives related to improving the use of medicines.
- Explain how Conference participation would provide valuable opportunities to inform and strengthen their work to improve the use of medicines.
How to apply
Interested applicants should make their application in writing to conference2026@isium.org.
The application must be written in English and should include:
- A brief curriculum vitae (no more than 1 pages).
- A rationale for the application, including the contribution that the applicant will make to the conference.
- An abstract of the proposed presentation.
- An article suitable for publication in the ISIUM Newsletter or on the ISIUM website (see above).
- A detailed and substantiated travel budget.
Applications should be no more than 7 pages in length (see application form template for guidance).

All applications received before May 26th, 2026 will be considered.
