Libby’s expertise includes pharmacy, behavioural science, epidemiology and public policy, with a research focus on improving use of medicines in practice. She is a director of the Quality Use of Medicines and Pharmacy Research Centre at the University of South Australia. She is the executive director of a national data driven health improvement program for the Australian Government Department of Veterans’ Affairs – Veterans Medicines Advice and Therapeutics Education Services program.
Libby is a Fellow of the Society of Pharmacoepidemiology, and a former Harkness Fellow in Health Care Policy and Practice. She has served as a temporary advisor to the World Health Organization on pharmaceutical systems, medicines pricing and utilisation. Libby is a member of the Australian Government Drug Utilisation Sub-Committee of the Pharmaceutical Benefits Advisory Committee, and the Medication Safety Oversight Committee of the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care.
